Nicola J Moore is an English writer and poet, specialising in children’s fiction. In 2025, Nicola published her first two picture books under her own imprint, Pernickety Pixie Publishing.
Nicola’s books reflect everyday experiences in a relatable and entertaining manner. They teach children the importance of self-acceptance, self-love and compassion for others.
Nicola was born and raised in East Anglia, where she spent her childhood building dens, riding bikes and reading Enid Blyton books. She now lives in West Sussex with her family and small dog.
Nicola J Moore is currently working on the second book in her exciting new chapter book series - The Magic Cupboard under the Stairs.
The first book - Adventure in the Land of the Fairies - was published in October 2025. Book 2 is expected to be released in the spring of 2026.
Fans of Enid Blyton’s The Faraway Tree and Mary Pope Osborne’s Magic Treehouse, will delight in this new adventure series.
